Introducing Our Newsletter, The Prickly Vine
 What's with the Name?
Chardonnay, Saone-et-Loire is the home of the chardonnay grape and was named after the latin word meaning "a place with thistles".  The Prickly Vine represents our love of wine, the thistle in our name and hearing news through the grape vine.   Our newly created newsletter is here to keep you up-to-date on news at The Thistle Inn and in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

Spotlight on Appetizers
How does The Thistle Inn make that tuna martini taste so good?  Whether it is hot or cold outside, this dish is true perfection.  Sushi grade yellow fin tuna is tossed in a blend of Asian inspired glazes that are complemented by sirachi creme and black & white seasame seeds.  The "martini" is simply a nod to the shape of the glass.  You will find this popular choice on our menu this summer.  Stay tuned for a preview of our new summer offerings on our website at http://www.thethistleinn.com/summermenu.html.
